Story is better than usual Chinese novels, mostly because things develop really well and you really need to read or watch whole mortal arc to get understanding of whole situation. Until then, you'll probably switch who is bad or good quite a few times

Don't believe either, it is just that in most cases cat speaks truth, at least in cases that concern things where he can't have benefit. One thing that wasn't shown (or maybe it happens during few next episodes? Not sure) was the fact that cat stopped fighting when he recognised QC bloodline lightning power... and as such he was scared of its meaning

But, this one of nicer plot twists and there is no chance I would ever spoil it. A lot will be revealed in about 20-40 episodes as story finally began. Meeting this cat is pretty much real beginning of the first arc and everything before was pretty much introduction ;)

over 300 eps for an Introduction lmao. it does tend to happen these manga and donghua. I have read a few like that , martial peak, martial arts reigns they took a while on introduction too lmao. also they made apotheosis a doughua it is pretty following the manga for the most part with like a little change here and there but only very little. it is called Bai Lian Cheng Shen on this site if you are interested as the it starts getting a lot better at the pace the eps are going probably around ep 60 maybe sooner

Well, as far as introductions go, Jiandao Di Yi Xian had it the worst even though it is short. First season only featured most basic introduction chapters which are boring as hell even in novel. Except, they failed to convey why that boredom and why MC doesn't even act when everyone insults him. He is simply bored and as previously one of strongest in the plane he simply doesn't give a fuck about ants and it would be beneath him to even react. Second reason is that he also knows the people causing him problems are also victims of his situation if not even worse. That season was probably most boring animated series ever... only problem is... just where it ends story fucking skyrockets and turns into one of the best novels ever. Awesome story, badass MC who is also funny and interesting (his favorite treasures is lazing chair which he constantly upgrades to make it more comfortable). He is pretty much lazy drunkard who doesn't care who he fights (forget good or bad), he does that because he feels like it or he doesn't for the same reason. Season 1 was so boring because it cut at the wrong place and sp there is little chance there will be season 2 of one of the best stories
